Simon smiled at her and kissed her forehead, squeezing her hand.
"I hadn't actually thought about where we could eat lunch. I think Mal mentioned something but I could be mistaken. I'm sure we all want some real food right about now, something different from the protein packs we've had since forever."
He glanced at her and added, "Did you want to go back and ask Mal if we should all eat as a group or if we could venture on our own. It would be a shame if he had wanted to treat us to a fine meal and we weren't even there to enjoy his generosity."

I don't know where Mal ran off to...he did hurry off in a rush. *She tilted her head* Kind of looked like he was following Inara though...*She shrugged her shoulders a tad bit*
I mean...we could go and ask if you like. But if he had meant to treat everyone, don't you think he would have been...a little bit clearer?

"Well, that is a fine point," Simon conceded. He leaned in close to her face and kissed her again on the lips, pulling her towards him. "Though I have a different idea, one that you mentioned previously. And one that's sounding better and better by the minute."
Without a word, he took her hand and smiled back at her as he led her back to Serenity's open doors.

Mikey was following her new quarries, trying to not make it obvious she was doing it. Lex and Murray were following closely behind her, laughing to themselves about the easy marks they were tailing. Though Lex had more than a few choice comments to say about the woman. And both Murray and Mikey shared the same opinion on the man.
'No matter,' Mikey thought, placing a hand in her pocket. With this next acquisition of coin, they could afford to get dessert tonight. Which was starting to sound worth the risk.
It had been a long time since Mikey had had chocolate, and she was craving it like mad at the moment.
Not a word was spoken by any of the thieves as they followed the couple in front of them to the Eavesdown Docks.
