History: Liam was born on Bellerophon, the first child of Michael and Jennifer Fisher. Early in his life, he had a proficiency for theft and a desire to see the universe, but that was put on hold once the Unification War started. His father, a high ranking Alliance general, was called into action, putting aside a plan to move his family to Londinium. He was killed at the Battle of Du-Khang in 2510, when Liam was 9 and his mother was pregnant with his sister, though she did not know this yet. Though his mother harbored a fierce hatred for those who had killed her husband, young Liam had known since the war's beginning that the Independents had a just reason for what they were fighting for, though he was saddened by his father's death.
Through his mother's insistence, he entered the Academy in 2513 at the age of 12, a year after the end of the Unification War, in 2512, though it was obvious he did not want to be there. He became a very good pilot and a dead-on marksman. Once he graduated, his mother kept pushing him to take the Officer's Exam. Liam refused, much to her dismay, and instead began to take on transport jobs for people he knew in the city, borrowing their ships to do the runs until he had saved up enough money to buy his own ship; the new 05-K66 Firefly-class model.
The relationship between himself and his mother was strained at times but what finally drove a wedge in between them was when she overheard him talking about how he was doing jobs for Independents who had fought in the war.
She kicked him out of the house, when he was 24, and told him never to contact them again. His sister was able to sneak him out some more credits, about 900 more than what he had, a total of 4500.
After this, he drifted for a while, taking odd jobs until he ended up on Beaumonde. He met Cassity and became friends with him, running jobs for Cassity's clients. He also met Dominic Griffin, a mechanic who worked in Beaumonde. Liam hired him as his mechanic to run jobs with him and gave him steady work fixing his ship. He had gone to the Academy with Dominic but had totally forgotten about it until Dom brought it to his attention.
