Neil laughed. "Can't say as I blame you. I wouldn't want to have to deal with that at all. Not very fond of cows. Sure do taste good, though." He looked up at Jayne and asked, "What new weapons you planning on buying with that money, Jayne?"

"Especially if we implement a shift system to ensure highest productivity without the autopilot option..." She said casually, as if it was the most logical thought. She smiled to them both.

"Mighty taste," he agreed. He gave a slight laugh at the mention of Jayne's purchasing of weapons.
"You know exactly where his heart lies, Cas."

He arched an eyebrow at what Murray said and shook his head. "Went over my head, little girl, but if you say so."
"They do taste fine," he admitted, wondering vaguely when the last time was that he'd had cow in his diet. It'd been too long, that was for sure. He laughed as well at what Cas said and nodded. "He knows me too well, but that's alright. 'Leastwise he's not s'prised if I show up with an armful of guns and 'munition."

"Exactly!" he exclaimed at what Murray said. "Why more people don't see it that way is beyond me. Though, when you have one of the best pilots in the 'verse at the helm of your ship, you don't tend to worry about something like that." He shifted his gaze to Mal and asked, "How is Wash, by the way?" He'd heard about the near-death experience at Mr. Universe's skyplex. "And Zoe for that matter."
He tossed a wink at Jayne and said, "You are very predictable, though that is not a bad thing."

"It'd require more people on payroll, and even when we aren't in an economic downturn, they'd rather go the cheaper route then the more efficient route," she commented with a smile. Then she realized that may have sounded like an insult, so she turned to Mal and smiled.
"Not that I am makin' any comment on your tactics, Cap. Just casual observation," she explained, smiling.

"Best be careful how free of a tongue you have there, Mure," he commented with a slight laugh to assure she wasn't in trouble.
"He's holdin' his chin up, best he can. Was a mighty scare for all of us, 'specially Zoe. But they are handlin' fine," he said with a nod of his head.

"More people...Ain't givin' anymore of my credits up for no one," Jayne replied rather petulantly, having only focused on Murray talking about money, rather than the rest of the statement. He caught up, though, when she offered and apology to Mal. "Don't worry, kid. He wouldn't space you over somethin' like that. Have t'be somethin' real serious ya done to warrant even the threat of it."
He remembered how that had almost happened to him on Ariel, after Mal'd found out Jayne had tipped off the Alliance about River and Simon for the promise of the reward for them. And it was not an experience he longed to repeat. Nor was it one he wished on anyone else.
'Less they were trying to kill him, that is.

"Bit slow on the uptake there, Jayne?" he asked, smiling to show the large mercenary he was joking. They were on good terms with one another, and he knew it would take a lot for Jayne to get mad at him. Still, he couldn't be too careful, since he liked having all of his teeth right where they were in his mouth.
He nodded sympathetically. "I can only imagine. I'm glad to hear they're getting over it."
